New Moon Solar Eclipse in Gemini

Paaaar-tay!!!!!!!!!!!!

The reign of Gemini is in full swing! With lovely Venus' extended stay in Gemini until August7th, the upcoming lucky Jupiter going into Gemini for an entire year on June 11th and then today's new moon solar eclipse in Gemini, life is only going to get better! Yes, time for surprises, spontaneous adventures and finding out why the grass is greener on the other side, even if you never wanted to go there. Life can flip in an instant and what pops out will have your brain, heart and soul percolating with a new level of zeal.

As it goes, today could be that day, or it can happen within the five days before or after this date--or towards the next following two months before and after this date. While most astrologers say the eclipse can trigger its power in a total of six months, its been in my experience that if you are affected, it will start closer to the date of the eclipse in the first two months and then it will take at least up to 6 months to unfurl into what it will become in total -- as in a potential gets uncovered and prizes then are reaped over a period of time.

For this eclipse in particular, of course Geminis will be the big winners -- but more specifically Gemini's born in the first 10 days of the sign or with an Gemini rising at 10 degrees or less. Second to feel its power will be Sagittarius -- also those born in the first 10 days of the sign or a rising of 10 degrees or less. Then, third to benefit are Libra and Aquarius with the same timing and fourthly would be Virgo and Pisces. Then, for Sun or Rising signs which are more inconsequential to this event are Aries, Taurus, Cancer, Leo, Scorpio and Capricorn. However, eclipses by nature are red herrings, so what goes down and where is never so easy to pin down...but for some semblance of a clue, these are the general places that each sign might be feeling it for the better...

Aries: Mental breakthroughs, increased sibling relations, new curiosities
Taurus: Investments, increased self-confidence, generosity
Gemini: Ideas, auspicious introductions, vanity
Cancer: Karma, peaceful epiphanies, a pleasant atonement with the past
Leo: Friendships, philanthropy, innovative future planning
Virgo: Recognition, establishment, concrete success
Libra: Mental and spiritual expansion, global domination, hope
Scorpio: Healing, control, transformation
Sagittarius: Commitment, partnership, justice
Capricorn: Efficiency, health, harvest
Aquarius: Romance, creativity, spontaneous fun
Pisces: Home, security, family

Venus goes retrograde in Gemini

Nothing goes as expected...or has a real fucked up way of happening...

Saw Gus Van Sant's Restless on the plane going to Istanbul...saw it again on the way back (the movie choices were just that lame)...liked it better the second time around, just like this retrograde dictates to do...Yes, I'm a victim of my own circumstances (vocation)...Couldn't find a streaming version, so the trailer is all you get.

It's been ages since I vaguely liked a Gus Van Sant movie, so this was exciting in its own way. To Die For and Drugstore Cowboy are my favorites -- I loved Drugstore Cowboy so much I wore my VHS and soundtrack of it down to static. I even wrote to the author of the book the movie was based on, who was in prison at the time...back in the days when I really wanted a pen pal in prison...which I never got, not even the teen boy on death row I fell in love with when I was 13, after reading his story in a Sunday paper magazine (he killed a man trying to protect his sister), in which I also recruited my friend Angela into love with, but between the two of us, we couldn't save him...Ah, unrequited adolescence loves... Anyway, for your entertainment...

Full Moon in Scorpio

Reach deeper into yourself.

Ok, it's actually May 31st and I'm waaaay behind on keeping up my posts. So, its fairly inconsequential what the full moon in Scorpio means and how it can affect anyone now (full and new moon's energy typically lasts two weeks)...but no matter, as this moon is all about the unknown and stepping into an intense twist of fate. So, hope yours was thrilling...

For me, it began with a bang--as in vegging out at under the waterfalls of Ein Gedi, floating away on the Dead Sea and watching the full moon in Scorpio rise over the mountains of Jordan with two of my most favorite people--FLC and Sheelomi SaSa...and it so happens to be one degree off an exact alignment with my natal moon, which means miracles in store -- as in, I'll always have today...
