Full Moon In Pisces

Time For Ritual

A full moon is always an occasion to break out your most superstitious hippie, which means doing something to make yourself feel empowered, renewed, centered, at peace--aka a ritual. In Pisces, it means taking it to the next level, as Pisces is a sign that deals with legacy, escape, vice, intuition, institutions, prisons, romance, imagination, etc. To mark this transit, here are some ideas in which you can feel as if you are becoming deeper into being one with everything.
  • Dunk yourself into a body of water. A spiritual baptism of sorts, in anyway you believe you need to be cleansed and reemerged. The ocean is idea, but even a hot tub will do, as Pisces is also the sign of sleep and anything that can promote it is bonsai.
  • Go to bed early, wake up late. Yes, it's the sign of sleep and giving many hours over to dreaming will be special -- as prophetic dreams are now and getting celestial messages can happen. It's even easier than texting and can be more intense than even Skype.
  • Give up or indulge in your favorite vice and escape for the norm. If you normally do whatever too much, time to swing it the other way around and stop. If you don't go wild often, it's horrible and you must drop and roll into an altered reality now. Since Pisces are symbolized by the fish swimming in opposite directions, it's all about 180s now.
  • Dance! Move, groove, get up on your feet! Pisces rules dance, so go out and trip the light fantastic or go at it in your bedroom mirror. Either or, it'll help release demons.
  • Pamper your feet! Buy a new pair(s) of shoes, wear your fanciest ones or get your favorite polished up. This is time to put the emphasis on your feet, as they are the ruled by Pisces and the foundation to your health. It is said that most lower back issues start at the feet---so treat yourself to something nice: flashier kicks, a foot massage, cashmere socks--you get the gist.

Full Moon In Pisces

Pass The Tissues Please

Pisces is one of the most overtly emotional signs of the zodiac and when it's power gleaming in the sky by way of a full moon, know it'll send out shock waves of sentiment that can drown out all else. So, when bracing for this flood, prepare by backing up these areas or these relations, as it will generally hit the hardest in the following ways per sign:

Aries: One's inner demons and general psychological twitchings.
Taurus: Among friends and fellow good samaritans.
Gemini: Dealings with career and authority.
Cancer: Among your gurus and mentors.
Leo: Amid your own power struggles.
Virgo: Partners which you have a legal obligation to.
Libra: Teammates and peers, which are not friends.
Scorpio: Romance and your sense of pride.
Sagittarius: Dealings with your family and home.
Capricorn: Dealings with people in your community.
Aquarius: Money, the good and the bad.
Pisces: Your own sense of nostalgia and shedding of your old skin.

Full Moon in Pisces, My Natal 10th!

JACKPOT!

I love anytime Pisces is in the air -- as it hits my natal 10th (career) and my solar 5th (love)! Today, it hit it in a big way, as I debuted two new columns -- so check them out!

At über fab fashion blog, Refinery 29, I wrote lifestyle horoscopes for Fashion Week:
http://www.refinery29.com/refinery29-horoscopes-for-your

Then at Astrology.com, where I write a daily pop culture blog called Astrogossip, I debuted my astrological advice column, Sex Signs:
http://www.astrology.com/sex-signs-wanna-swing/2-d-d-381339

...and as for what a full moon in Pisces it all about in the general sense, it means celebrating an end of a cycle -- as Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac and a full moon signifies a completion -- so karma, karma, karma will be the theme for everyone! This can mean waiting for it or going after it and making some... To set you in the right mood, here's the perfect theme song for the occasion -- if not lyrically, at least musically! So, dance, dance, dance it out, until you're feeling the rejuvenation...

Full moon in Pisces

Feel the Nirvana.

A day reserved to feel as if you're going to burst open with emotions, and hopefully they're good ones, just like Marie's (West Side Story)...Otherwise, hit play and sing along until you're feeling it.

Update: Maybe it's the karma from bitching and moaning about noisy funerals and monks, but THIS DAY SUCKED! No matter how I try to follow my own advice, it's not going to work! Whatever, hypocrites give the best advice...Anyway, during the rain at 2am, somewhere on my bike ride home, my keys fell out of my pocket or bag!!!! In a state of panic and backtracking, with no luck, I had to call my friend from around the corner until he woke up, to get my spare set...how mercury retrograde, he's my friend from high school...and sweetly, he was a doll about it...So, yeah what in the hell is the universe trying to say? As it goes, this Pisces moon cycle began with me dropping my computer during the new moon and killing it and now it ends with this!!!! WTF... Anyway, just more complaining because I want to and I guess for me, this Pisces cycle is all about the woe is me factor...FUCK! FUCK! FUCK!...just saying...

Full Moon in Pisces

Fuck logic.

Mercury retrograde goes into full effect in 3 days, which means chaos is in the air. Prior to mercury's stall, there's a period before and after for a week that can fuck things up just the same, it’s called the shadow. So, since mercury is the planet of communication, all things in danger of being aggravated deal with that and a plethora of things can go wrong; here is a partial list:

• Computer breakdowns (Back-up your files!!!!)
• People from the past returning (Screen calls!!!!)
• Decisions being reversed (Don't count on anything!!!)
• Miscommunications (Double check everything!!!)
• Travel delays (Don't plan a tight schedule!!!)
• Negotiation slowdowns (Be flexible!!!)
• Lost items (Don't be stupid!!!)

Of course, it’s not always a dismal thing, sometimes reunions are good and going back to edit/redo things is perfect…But more times than not, they’re frustrating, like a window of happenings that brings out your brattiest self. Sucks.

Today, my Ipod fell into a fountain. Somehow, at this café, it slipped off the table and was dangling by the headphone jack above water. When I went to grab it, the jack detached and in it went, sinking right to the bottom. At first nothing was wrong, then the screen got funky and now it won’t respond to touch. It’s like a fucking metaphor for my life… Whatever the case, it’s like I can’t even get away from this craziness even if I tried. The retrograde is happening and this astrology shit works. Fuck logic.
