New Moon in Leo Day 13

Laced Glamour: Double your chickens, double the fun.

This has nothing to do with anything, but out-and-out bragging. Of all the accomplishments in my life, solving the Rubik's Cube is one of the tops on my list. It took a long time to figure it out, as in, way post its craze, and NO I did not get any help. Give me any one and I can do it. This one took 2 hours, but the fastest I did it once was 15 minutes. Not that I give a shit about speed, as I know how to do it in a very guerrilla manner, but no matter, it's a skill I want everyone to know I have.

As for today's pics, I combined them into a Full Moon in Pisces' slide show, so I didn't have to be redundant about my beautiful day spent with beautiful people in a most beautiful place...Highlights: two visits to the beauty spa, starting with a massage, then later got a pedicure, swung high above the trees, laid eggs from the sky, played chicken on the highway, chased the sunset around a reservoir, ate tons of yumminess and even my ice cream cone had paparazzi....

Favorite Pic Of The Day

New Moon in Leo Day 11

Laced Glamour: Reboated

When one ship sails, in comes another -- at least in my life these days... Missed Friday's ride, but today another boat adventure turned up via Judy and her fun writing assignments! This time, we hit the water and cruised about the southern tip of Manhattan during twilight. We couldn't of been bothered with the NYC view, where everyone else was cramming to see and just enamored ourselves with views of Jersey....Ah...Anyway, my inspiration for today's look was Marcia Brady and Mary Ann from Gilligan's Island...but buzzed before boarding, I didn't get a full shot before the sun went down, so I just piecemealed it together, in-between snapping blurry skyline pics...

New Moon in Leo Day 9

Laced Glamour: The ZZZZZ Edition

There will be no picture today because this day hardly existed for me. Seems I broke my own sleeping record, as I slept from 4am Saturday morning until 10am Sunday morning -- no joke. I did get up at 7pm on Saturday for 20 or so minutes, to go to the can, but it was all a bit of a blur. WTF? IDK.

Laced Glamour: Missed The Boat Take 116

RED ALERT! RED ALERT! Mercury Rx is suppose to be over and we are suppose to be out of the shadow too, but its menacing influence is still in the air and causing havoc. If my day was suppose to go the way it was planned, Ingrid and I would of been at Riis Landing, Breezy Point right next to Fort Tilden, at the farthest end of Brooklyn at 11:30a.m. to get on a boat to go on a 4 hour whale watching trip. I was awake at 8am to get there on time, at Ingrid's by 10 and we were on the train shortly after, excited for our day out on the water....But instead of our idyllic nature day, we got onto the wrong train, wound up in the Third World part of Brooklyn and missed the boat being lost talking to a bunch of people that had no clue where we were going.... No matter, we are resolute gals and once we found out we were on a bus in the wrong direction, in the middle of nowhere, we flagged down a gypsy cab, who also had no idea where we wanted to go -- but no matter, it was impossible to get there by that time anyway, so we just took it to the nearest train station, which took a rather long time, and from there decided to go to Rockaway Beach....Later, I didn't want my extra clothes I hauled about all day to be in vain, so viola, outfit #2....and point of all this, Mercury RX still in effect.

Laced Glamour: Tourist Chic

What I learned today: If you ever take a double-decker bus tour, sit in the back for the better views. Judy and I did the front and back, and the back was way more impressive. Also, the tour guides are whack. Imagine saying the same speech every day at least 3 times a day to an unresponsive group of tourists... To say the least, our daytime tour guide was hysterical, as she sounded totally stir crazy, and our second guide, who sounded like Bloomberg's gay cousin, made up his own info during parts of our tour or was just spewing a lot of outdated info....As for why I am on this bus when I live in NYC, it's because my darling friend Judy, (Author of The Official Book of Sex, Drugs, and Rock 'n' Roll Lists and How Not To Date) got a new assignment that required she have to ride the hop-on-hop-off lines. So, we made a day of it and dressed the part! Voila!

New Moon in Leo Day 2

Laced Glamour: Nailed

Glamour is undone without Miss Pop, who always nails down any look! Lucky for me she is a good friend and lives in my hood too. For today, I stopped in for her to work her brilliance via a dose of reality in our chit chat and beautiful tips to point me in a new direction.
The inspiration: saddle shoes. Click on last pic to get a closer look.

P.S. I worship at the Salon of Miss Pop! She totally made me a convert! I was not a nail polish wearer at all. I OD-ed on it as a tiny child, as it was the only make-up I was allowed to wear and from the ages of 4-10 I always had my nails polished...to the point I noticed they were turning yellow. Since then it also felt funny to have anything on my nails, it was a psychological thing...Well, now look at me?  Miss Pop and her crazy cute nails cured me! So, XOXO to Miss Pop for getting me back to where I belong.

New Moon in Leo

14 days to flaunt your glamour.

DAY 1
Test shot #1. Not the most stunning start to L.G., but today slipped by fast...I thought I had more time to kill, waiting in the lobby of my friend John's office, and took this to see what I looked like -- but John came down lickity split and off we went to our evening of New Jersey extravaganza that culminated at Feathers to see SHARON NEEDLES perform!!!!

Since the heat killed my motivation to get up in punk/goth regalia to honor Sharon, I just clipped my black widow's rose hair clip and put on my blood drip choker, which you can barely see...Yes, my look is more frilly than fearful, but no matter, as my night ended on a very frightful note anyway -- while waiting for the PATH at 2:30 AM at the Harrison stop, a HUMONGOUS UNIDENTIFIABLE BUG crawled up my leg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! VOMIT! GAG! VOMIT!

Funny thing was that I saw it earlier and kept checking for it, to make sure it wasn't on the bench, coming after me, but it was worse, crawling up my leg so surreptitiously, it didn't giving me much of a sensation --AHHHHHHHHHHH WTF. I flicked it off, right onto its back and watched all it's legs shimmy and shake. No, I didn't kill it...I know, I'm too much of a hippie to ever be totally punk.

(BTW, the Black Rose hair clip is made by Dollsville NYC. Amazing stuff!!! I almost died! If you are in NYC and go out, Laura also sells her stuff at Oh! You Pretty Things at Le Poisson Rouge -- where I met her! I also have the Pink Flamingo clip too--love them!!!! The great thing about it is you can look totally plain, then just pop one on and instant fanciness!)

BONUS FUN: SHARON NEEDLES!
