New Moon In Aquarius

Feel The Flower Power

Today, the Sun not only enters Aquarius, but there is also a New Moon in Aquarius! This means tons of the quirky energy will disperse into the air. Yes, what drives this intellectual sign that symbolizes friendship, innovation and humanity will be what sets the tone now. This is a time to think, “We,” instead of, “Me,” and work your two cents in how the world can be a better place, if even only in your consciousness.

As for 5 ways to get your Aquarius power on:
·      Get involved in a cause! Aquarius is the sign of revolution and brotherhood, so jump into a movement you believe in or start one up. Be part of something!
·      Learn about new technological advances. Although there is a Mercury Retrograde in Aquarius coming on January 21st, there is never a bad time to get your brain pumping to master efficiency via cutting-edge methods. However, wait for the Retrograde to end, before buying new techno gadgets.
·      Reach out to people. Whether it’s a poke or calling up an old friend, this is the time to enjoy camaraderie and bond with your fellow humans.
·      Aquarians take a unique approach to everything, including sex. As the freak sign of the zodiac, get into the Aquarian groove by testing out new sex toys. As the sign that also rules electricity, time to be buzzing with new vibrations.
·      There is an eclectic vibe to spirituality, when it comes to an Aquarian’s path to empowerment. Incorporate something new age into your routines, like meditating with crystals or going to a sweat lodge. When it comes to feeling this sign, it’s all about being part of a collective unconscious.

New Moon In Capricorn

Spread Knowledge

Seasonal discomfort is here, but relief is on its way! Yippee, yahoo for the upcoming Saturn transit from Scorpio to Sagittarius! As it stands, Saturn is not a planet that believes in ease. It’s about work, structure and paying your dues. Since October 5, 2012, it’s been in Scorpio and finally on Dec. 23 at 11:34pm EST, it will leave this difficult placement that was out to challenge power, sex, money and one’s own depth of soul. The heart-warming news is that at every Saturn cycle completion will come a reward, like a celebratory cosmic gift, in the same area that was under siege. So, as the season of giving hits its peak, know even the universe will in a more generous mood with a little something-something (read both your Sun and Rising sign too):

Aries: Getting money for your talents.
Taurus: A long-standing dispute will end.
Gemini: Health stresses ease up.
Cancer: Bursts of creative genius and courage arrive.
Leo: Family as your rock will have its possibilities.
Virgo: An intellectual reward, like graduation, scholarship or discovering a new skill is likely.
Libra: Stability in the material sense gets easier to manage.
Scorpio: Auspicious new beginnings.
Sagittarius: Gaining an inheritance, not necessarily a material one.
Capricorn: Luck in knowing who you know. Making money with friends.
Aquarius: A career coup is underway.
Pisces: An overseas opportunity will appear or one that deals with a culturally and spiritually enriching experience.

Note: It doesn't have to be this exact day in which something monumental happens. It could be days to and fro this one, as it's a culmination of that energy and it could be spread out from this time.

New Moon Solar Eclipse In Scorpio

Brimming With Mystery!

Now, the third big news of the day -- a new moon solar eclipse in Scorpio, which means stirring up the unknown and seeing what fate feels you deserve. This is the last eclipse of a two year cycle in Scorpio & Taurus and it ends on a good note! Expect a twist to blindside you and transform you. Don't fear though, even if you have had to go through hell to get here, this new moon solar eclipse is oozing with goodness, even if it is in naughty, naughty Scorpio.

Note: Early born Scorpios will feel this most directly and Taurus. After is early born Cancers and Pisces. This will also pertain to rising signs too.

My diorama: DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME.

Notice the slight levitation of the table--I'm super proud of that detail. Also, the moon outside is a full moon in Scorpio. The green stuff outside the room are bones. The house is built on an ancient dinosaur cemetery.

New Moon In Gemini

I Found My Doppelgänger!

May is Asian Pacific American Heritage Month and who knew, while watching HBO's series to celebrate the month, "East Of Main Street," I would find my doppelgänger in their episode called "Small Talk." ....Not only do we share the same heritage, but all her answers could of come right out of my mouth! Plus, I love she was the only child to choose glamorous careers (18 sec. is my favorite!) and the only one with an aversion to being tied down. She rocks!!!! Hope children like her are the future!

...As for the crappy title pages between the segments, with the question to the answers she gives -- I don't know how to get the page to be a normal size, to be fully legible and I spent hours trying to sort it out...but with my short Gemini rising attention span, offset with the energy of this new moon, I no longer care.

Here's the list of questions, if you really need to know:
  • I found my doppelgänger! She is also....
  • What's your favorite food?
  • Describe yourself...
  • What do you want to be when you grow up?
  • What do you wish?
  • Does it matter that you marry someone Asian?
  • ...and what else?

New Moon Solar Eclipse In Taurus (AKA The Full Pink Moon, The Full Sprouting Grass Moon, The Egg Moon or the Full Fish Moon!)

Sweet Surprises Popping In Everywhere!

Of course, there would be such grandeur in the name of the full moon now, with the height of spring peaking in its ripeness, giving something juicy for all to bite into!

Yes, despite the harsh times of the full moon eclipse in Aries that started this roller coaster on April 15th, to the grand cardinal cross that formed in the sky throughout the month, to now the benevolent moon of steady-eddy Taurus, it's been one big mash-up of chaotic and challenging. However, it's now time for the good part and to plant seeds that you grow from, as new moons and solar eclipses dictate.

Finally, there are positive new beginnings, opportunities and chance encounters that can spark something special and enduring in your life. Wishes, miracles and love happen under these skies, so open wide your mind, heart and spirit, as we head into Tuesday's celestial action that is at its starting point at 2:14am EST and is at its most powerful for the next 5 days.

Don't worry, even if you miss out on the 5 days, you still have one month to the day that fate can roll its lucky dice for you. So, sit back, relax and enjoy life through all your senses, because the pleasantly visceral slice of life is going to be served up to you a la mode!

As per where each sun sign and rising sign will likely give receive the magic: (Also note, if you are born in the early middle part of Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn or Scorpio, you will have the best chance of getting a bigger dose of the pie. Second in line would be early middle born Cancer and Pisces. Early middle part would be 27th to the 10th of each month.)

Aries: Money! Money! Money! Stretch out your hands, because this is jackpot time! Money to sink your teeth into and make proper investments with.

Taurus: Revel in new opportunities and new ways to think of yourself. You'll discover new talents you never thought you had and others will want some!

Gemini:
People from the past will help you you in an unexpected way. Surprise! Surprise! Leopards can change their spots!

Cancer: Your humanity will have a way to express itself and for that, it can lead you down a new road that has you leading a revolution. Hoorah!

Leo:
You rule and you know it! Now, everyone will get it too -- and best of all, your bank account will be showing it too, as you'll gain more than a title, but rewards that show it too.

Virgo:
A spiritual awakening is heading towards you, which can have you acting out spontaneously and adventurously. Go with its flow, you are one with all now!

Libra:
Something lost will get found and it'll bring you cash, power and haters -- a trifecta of perfection that secretly will cheer you to the bone.

Scorpio:
Resolution, harmony and equality will have you understanding commitment in a new and much more mature way. Expect the universe to show you karma in a beautiful way.

Sagittarius:
New day-to-day routines will bring challenge and happiness, as the grunt work of yesterdays will begin to fade. Purpose and direction will get more solid than ever. Love it!

Capricorn:
The hunt will get intense: Prepare to be chased down or expect to do the chasing down. Either or, it'll be the best catch of the day, giving you something
delicious to feed on, in every inch.

Aquarius:
Dream homes and rock-star living takes sacrifice, but think of it like a challenge and trust when it comes to cashing in or off your transactions now, it will be in your favor.

Pisces:
Talk is cheap. Thankfully the words you hear now will have substance in which you can trust and learn. Yes, a divine understanding and exchange is underway!

New Moon In Virgo

You Know What's Wrong With This World?

It's New Moon In Virgo, the start of new things to get persnickety about and have to fix. And in tune with the cosmos,  I just so happen to have already labeled the areas in your life that you'll want to turn into the H.B.I.C. for. Yes, this week's Style By Sign we celebrate being critical! Yup, harvest season begins. Time to see results for your efforts.

Plus, today is Rosh Hashanah, the new year on the Jewish calender, making it 5774 and a day to turn over a new leaf...and I also happen to use "Shalom" as my exit greeting--that was a coincidence!

Anyway, my fave Style By Sign this week is Libra, scary times....

BITE MY STYLE
This top caused a bit of controversy -- as in do I keep it or do I let it go? I liked it, but now seeing it on screen and how it looks, I am not digging it. It cuts off in an an unforgiving way that makes me look the opposite of lithe...I still like it though...Argh, if I dressed with my taste, not for my body, then things would be a bit different. So, until I decide on that top, I can't tell you where I got it.

Underneath I am wearing a Spanx tube as my wiggle skirt. I wore this on my second visit to the Mike and Juliet Show, which I bought the tube for--because I couldn't find a super tight black wiggle skirt...Improvisation, that's what syle can help you out with! ...and also an oldie is my beaded necklace, which I wore on my first TV appearance and was asked to take it off--which resulted in oh-so-funny-tv-banter.

...My black cocktail ring is from Amsterdam, my earrings and bangles, the usual...My grandmother designed costume jewelry in the 60s and this was one of her necklaces. The clasp, which you can't see, is great: a giant clear yellow gem. It's awesome. I'm glad this was the accessory that made it on, as I made a leather choker with a cameo the night before, but was nixed by Jeffrey, my Andre Leon Talley. (But unlike Andre, Jeffrey is gay. (lol))...Oh, he hated my top too. Half-way through shooting this week's, Jeffrey had to just say it, say he hated it. He thought it looked like I was wearing a quilted blanket. However, Jozie (Make-Up) and Ally (the AP) liked it...who knows if that was just girl solidarity. Whatever.  I like trying things out and if it is a catastrophe, well, thank god I was born with such little shame.

New Moon In Leo

Look For The Spotlight And Assume The Position

Part two of our shooting marathon:
Bite My Style
I love my red denim Dickies dress, which I scored on eBay! I auctioned my ass off for it and it became mine!!! Weee.... To dress it up, I paired it with the same rings and necklace from July 29's week, but switched the earrings to gold hoops and my bracelets for a leather strap I got in Istanbul, at a store called Hotic and added flair to my hair with the red polka dot wire headband I got somewhere in Tel Aviv. I have to say the headband is brilliant, why they are not sold on every street corner in NYC, I don't know. The wire inside is lightweight and allows easy tightening or options in whether to have an antennae or not. (I always prefer to have the antennae.)...Anyway, I was hating myself that I didn't load up on more headbands, in every color. So, I had to have my friend send me more... However, it's the polka dot red one I always use...As for my shoes, my Marc Jacob white clogs worked overtime...

New Moon In Cancer

Disguise As Your Defense And Loving It

Happy New Moon On Monday Y'all!

This week's Style By Sign is CHOCK-FULL of precious moments! Cancer wins for the week because it's a New Moon in Cancer today and the brilliance of Jeffrey P., AKA the Steven Spielberg of the Internet. I'm homeless, I'm a black sheep...Only under this direction could I bring out these emotions....and also in the entire mix are a slew of new characters...

BITE MY STYLE
I know this picture is far and blurry, but you can see my dress in the videos or if you click on the pic. The lace from the sleeves extends to the back, so it's got that sexy touch to balance the sweetness. I got it at Modcloth. My belt is Ted Baker and my clogs are Jeffrey Campbell. I have to admit, I love J.C. shoes, in terms of style, and have a few, but dang, they fall apart easily. Still, I love them and get them fixed every time, but I'll no longer buy them.
My dress is a hand-me-down from my sister from ages ago. I love it, the collar is my fave. It's wool, so it's only for fall, winter and these occasions. My blood drip choker I love!!!! I got it at a goth store in the East Village somewhere. I was told someone in Brooklyn makes them. Love!...and my cigarette is actually a necklace. I'm holding the chain in my hand, so that's why I am holding it a little strange....And the extra arm is Jeffrey, my stage daddy.
Ooh, love my old lady look that came out again. Pink Flamingo fascinator from DollsvilleNYC, blue silk dress is my mom's dress from the 80s, and the long green ring is from Istanbul, the flower Lego ring is from the Hester Street Fair and the other shiny bauble is from modcloth and of course, the strands of pearls from random sources Fake glasses from the streets of Chinatown.
As for my Prancersize homage: my wig is my grandmother's from the 70s, the pink sweater is Allie's (Our awesome Assistant Producer and host of her own LookTV Show on DIY-ing) and the pants are from Uniglo, which is down the street from the Bedrocket headquarters. Wilma Flintstone necklace a gift and pearl drop clip-on earrings are my grandmother's.

New Moon In Aries

Adventure!

Today, I ventured off to new places in hopes of experiencing something beyond. First on the list: Cassadaga, the Psychic Capital of The World.

While I do love all of that metaphysical stuff and have been to Lily Dale, I'd have to say Cassadaga left me with a bit of a not so interested feeling. Sure, they had shops with all sorts of artifacts and psychics galore, but there wasn't much else to sink my brain into. Lily Dale by far was more interesting, with lots of sites to see.

Maybe it was the heat and the humidity, but I didn't even take many pictures. However, if this place piqued your interest in anyway, this video pretty much covers what you'll see:
