The Sun And Jupiter Aligned In Gemini
Feel Like The Queen Of Sheba
It's week four of Style By Sign and things are falling into place. I am loving script writing, styling looks and working with people. As a writer, my typical work day requires I talk and see no one, which is shocking considering how much I do talk and like to talk. Sure, I have no problem talking to myself, but having responses from someone other than myself is kind of nice.
As to Bite My Style:
My dress is from Stone Flower, a cute and totally random store I found one day at South Street Seaport. That place has the crappiest collection of stores, but Stone Flower is a little treasure. They're from Thailand and there are two locales within the Seaport; one for clothes, another for accessories.
This cute dress is from their summer collection -- the headband is suppose to be tied around the waist, but in a homage to The Stepford Wives, the original, which was on this weekend, I wore it as a headband to give a more retro look. The pearl drop earrings are another pair from my G-ma's amazing collection and my Wilma Flintstone necklace was a b-day gift from my friend Mina. The white gloves I picked up ages ago at Screaming
Mimi's; my pink bow belt is Ted Baker and shoes are Bruno Magli (the brand OJ made famous) which I bought last summer at Artists and Flea in Williamsberg, at the vintage stall on the right side just as you enter.
As for my Queen of Sheba look, it's mostly comprised of stuff Jeffrey, our producer, found around the office. My black Tracy Feith shift dress was the only thing that belonged to me and the infinity scarf and gladiator lace up sandals were Jozie's, the hottie behind all my fantastic hair and make-up.

Mercury Retrogrades In Sagittarius
Flashback!
Everybody has a John Hughes movie that is close to their heart, as it embodies some part of their teenage angst. Mine was Some Kind Of Wonderful. In my mind, I was Watts. I had a guy best friend too, and was totally in love with him secretly. Even penning a letter to him in the case of my death...Anyway, I watched this movie so much, that when I finally confessed my feelings, I too walked away like her and cried....Although I didn't have him chasing after me with diamond earrings. Instead, I walked almost half the length of the parking lot we were in, until I was picked up in a car, by my sister, with him in the backseat saying nothing....No, life isn't like in the movies....
However, there was a somewhat happier ending to this story, as the next day, while at a concert, he asked me why I walked away. I said, "Because you rejected me." He then said he didn't and that I never gave him a chance to say anything and from there we attempted to "date," which consisted of fooling around and fighting back insecurities. To say the least, we were better as friends...and to this day, we still are! In fact, we're even neighbors!

My afternoon in one of the most bizarro places on earth, The Holy Land, a religious theme "experience" in the outskirts of Orlando.... Some of you might have seen it in Religulous (click this link to watch the film), where Bill Maher interviews Jesus (click this link to read about the film) -- and it's no joke, this is the land of 10,000 Jesus...

Venus enters Sagittarius

Arthur
One of my favorite movies, as I just love Arthur (and NEVER the remake -- as it's blasphemy to even think of that version!!!)...I too can never resist a drive through the park or a funny modern fairy tale with a Peter Pan type...and it just so happens to be a fortune telling machine at a beach once told me my perfect celebrity love would be Dudley Moore. So true, as my Venus in Sagittarius just can't resist a man that can make me laugh...

One of my favorite movies of all time!!!!! I lived and breathed to have my life be just like this when I was a little angst-ridden teen that only longed to be so punk rock. lol. No, seriously, I did do it in my own little colorful way and this movie was the outline for everything I thought was cool. I still love this movie to death and will always fondly remember reciting the lines of it with my friends over and over again when we weren't watching it over and over again....ahhh, true love is beautiful!

Full Moon In Scorpio

Full moons are for celebrating and Scorpio is all about intensity. Smash it up and you get hotness running up and down your loins like nobody's business. Yes, it'll be one of those days when all you want to do is rub up next to everything for a lil' somethin' somethin'...so why not...
...and as for why I am posting this movie, It Might Get Loud, I happen to see it at 2am today (Wed.) and was totally enthralled...and don't you know it, some of that old footage is super hot. Nobody does sexy like Robert Plant, a Leo through and through and dang, that Jimmy Page back in this prime, work it out Capricorn man with a Scorpio rising...Ok, even as an older gent, J.P., totally doable....Anyway, thought I'd pass this on.
