Mercury Retrograde In Aquarius

Turning Convention On It's Head

Retrograde — the word that breeds fear into many. After all, it means losing more control of the little we have. Yes, the universe has a certain way of ping-ponging the energies in our lives to keep us on our toes, but none as aggravating as the one known as Mercury Retrograde. Plus, when it is in Aquarius, the sign that rules technology, you can expect this one to be one humdinger of a roller coaster ride that has no rhyme or reason. However, is there cause to fear? Not if you’re prepared!

To circumvent the anguish that is Mercury Retrograde in Aquarius, foolproof your life to make this calamity work for you:
·      Ever dream of being off the grid? Make this your chance, but do it staycation style. With Mercury ruling commuting, trips of any sort can be plagued with misadventure. Best to kill it at home with candles, books, your baby and a stockpile of snacks that can last you for days. Not only effective in realigning your chi, but being a bit green during this cosmically kooky time will score points in the world of karma.
·      Technology isn’t complete trash during this time. In fact, social media accounts you’ve been off or video games you use to play can have a renaissance now, as in logging in those old passwords and rediscovering a world you’ve left behind.
·      Aquarius rules friendships and in honor of a retrograde, be proactive by being the one to reach out to anyone from your past you’ve been thinking of apologizing to or to reconnect. Whichever the motive, a Mercury Retrograde is your rip-in-time to set relationships with history back on track.
·      Stop and edit your masterpieces. Instead of pushing to get past creative blocks, avoid anything new. Best to perfect what you have. Retrograde periods are for tightening drums and discarding red herrings. Yes, work with what you’ve got.
·      Allow yourself to be non-committal. The world will be operating at wonk level and so no matter how hard you try to resist, it won’t change. Be vague and explore. If you can avoid signing any dotted line until post-retrograde, then you’ll be playing to win.

Mercury Retrograde into Libra

Oh yeah?!
Yeah!

Mercury is now back into peace, love and happiness Libra, making it more evident what is not copacetic. Seems the brains of those not at peace will be tossing and turning more, until they have made peace with something in their lives that needs rectification. So, whatever loose ends are hanging about in your life, time to make the cuts or tie it back up in an official sort of way.

Yes, this is a time of making amends and redrawing agreements to suit the needs of everyone involved, not just yourself. A lot of formality will be needed, but as long as you show respect, this is a time that won't be too miserable. After all, Libra is ruled by Venus, so endings will likely be fair... Of course, when Mercury zooms back into Scorpio, it might mean being punched back down, but if you do find that to be true, then take it as a karmic shot for having to relearn your rights and do onto others as you want them to do onto you.

Note: October 25 is the day Mercury will go direct.
November 8 is the day it reenters Scorpio.

Jupiter Goes Retrograde In Cancer

Emotional Rescue

Jupiter retrograde is never bad, because Jupiter is the planet of expansion, luck, adventure, truth and morality. So, as it stalls (until March 6, 2014), don't freak. By nature of what it represents, it always leaves room for optimism... Of course, the space for that hope could be tight, but rest assure, it'll never turn into a maelstrom of chaos out to ruin you (unlike other retrogrades)... However, Jupiter is  in Cancer now, which rules bottomless emotions, security and belonging. It's the sign of the sensitive suckler, with wishy-washy moodiness and defensiveness. So, at best, this will be a time with many extra emotional flourishes--and at worst, will have even more emotional flourishes....

As for areas per sign (sun and rising) these moments will strike, it is as follows:

  • Aries Home, Family, Security.
  • Taurus Community, Communication, Transportation
  • Gemini Money, Long-term planning, Self-esteem
  • Cancer Identity, Fresh Starts, Ego
  • Leo Fantasy, Charity, Worship
  • Virgo Hopes and Dreams, Friendships, Humanity
  • Libra Career, Reputation, History
  • Scorpio Spirituality, Hope, Understanding
  • Sagittarius Sex, Intimacy, Power
  • Capricorn Peace, Justice, Commitment
  • Aquarius Health, Productivity, Order
  • Pisces Love, Creativity, Celebration

Mercury Retrograde In Scorpio

Fight The Power

Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio sounds scary enough than to emphasize its direness more. So, instead, let's focus on the good. After all, Mercury Rx's don't always have to fuck every minute of every day. At the minimum, if you're lucky, this one lasting until Nov. 10th could be 51% fuckery and 49% possibility.

10 Ways Mercury in Scorpio Rx Can Be Your Bitch:
  1. Avenging yourself. This Mercury Rx is a karmic black hole, so feel free to play with your voodoo dolls.
  2. Removing warts, lice and other nastiness from your genitals (including pubes, if you see bush that way).
  3. Pissing on your territory again.
  4. Celebrating The Day of the Dead.
  5. Getting back owed money long overdue.
  6. Reversing a vasectomy.
  7. Removing ungrateful a-holes from your last will and testament.
  8. Landing on good gossip about someone you despise.
  9. Experiencing familiar ghosts./Getting the Ouija to work./Going to a successful seance.
  10. Finding good deals on underwear.

Uranus Goes Retrograde in Aries

You Just Won't Be Yourself These Days...

As the planet of ingenuity stalls in the sign all about you, don't expect anything about yourself to be the same -- which can be a great or grim thing....Hmmm, time to see how much you love or hate yourself.

...and better late, than never...Here is my fave Style By Sign video of the week: ARIES!

Bite My Style
Due to shooting 24 videos in a day, didn't keep up with the pics of all the outfit changes...but as for my main one, it was simple and sweet: pink heart print dress from Modcloth and black suede wedges from Jeffrey Campbell, which I got years ago and were the first I bought from Jeffrey Campbell and sort of fell apart after the first time I wore them. The wedge is rubber, which doesn't make for the nails holding down the suede to work so well. Most of them stayed in, but you know, you'd expect them all to stay in....Yet, I still bought more shoes from them.

PLuto Retrograde Still

Death Becomes Me

Not that I would ever have a grave, (I am 100% for cremation. I want to be blended with my Bauddha, and thrown equals parts in N.H, at our spot. Then, scraps of me are given to each of the people I love to put in a meaningful place.

One day I asked my friend Jay what he would do with me. He said he'd keep part of me and then bury the rest at Cleopatra's Needle in Central Park, where we first bonded, when I was itching to get into his Clue group that met there every other Sunday to play Clue. I love Clue. It's my favorite. When I was 11, and I played it at a friend's house, it made me soooo happy, I'd almost classify it as my first high. One hit was all it took. Subsequent birthday money went right to getting my own. I wrote," K.T. was here, 986 B.C. (sarcasm)," inside the box in that totally curvy tween way of writing. Sad thing was nobody was into it, so I hardly had anyone to play with and when I did, they sucked. Then, I met JAY, someone who makes me eternally happy! (If Clue where an Olympic event, he'd be the captain.))

Anyway, back to the point. Earlier, killing time perusing SkyMall (love), I saw this. If I ever had a grave, I'd want my tombstone to look like this, but with my likeness, placed randomly on my plot and instead of my birth to death date, it would just have my name and Scorpio in small letters somewhere inconspicuous and tasteful.

Mercury Goes Retrograde In Pisces

Get Your Flake On

It's here. The first Mercury Retrograde of the year, and this one is in Pisces -- which means more intense blasts from the pasts, emotional confusions and all round unreliableness.

...And if you pay any attention to my posts, you'd know that each year Mercury Retrogrades are in one element. This year, it's water transits, which means one flake of a time trying to sort out moods, memories and reality. As it goes, with Pisces, the lines of fantasy and reality blur easily, and life tips to one extreme -- up or down. So, when you put this all into retrograde mode, you get one hearty breakdown.

To best prepare for the messes from now until around March 17, here are the following areas you will likely need backup:
Aries: inner psyche/sleep, creativity, karma
Taurus: technology, friendships, hopes
Gemini: reputation, authority, discipline
Cancer: travel, truth, morals
Leo: sex, power, money
Virgo: balance, beauty, commitment
Libra: health, routines, pets
Scorpio: gambling, love, creativity
Sagittarius:security, home, family
Capricorn: communication, siblings, transportation
Aquarius: comfort, investments, sensual pleasures
Pisces: confidence, initiative, leadership

Mercury Retrogrades In Sagittarius

Flashback!

Everybody has a John Hughes movie that is close to their heart, as it embodies some part of their  teenage angst. Mine was Some Kind Of Wonderful. In my mind, I was Watts. I had a guy best friend too, and was totally in love with him secretly. Even penning a letter to him in the case of my death...Anyway, I watched this movie so much, that when I finally confessed my feelings, I too walked away like her and cried....Although I didn't have him chasing after me with diamond earrings. Instead, I walked almost half the length of the parking lot we were in, until I was picked up in a car, by my sister, with him in the backseat saying nothing....No, life isn't like in the movies....

However, there was a somewhat happier ending to this story, as the next day, while at a concert, he asked me why I walked away. I said, "Because you rejected me." He then said he didn't and that I never gave him a chance to say anything and from there we attempted to "date," which consisted of fooling around and fighting back insecurities. To say the least, we were better as friends...and to this day, we still are! In fact, we're even neighbors!

Uranus goes retrograde in Aries

Reworking what's right for you, no matter who you have to plow down.

Due to the summer and my brain being close to kaput,  what is right for me is to link you the post I wrote about the Uranus retrograde in Aries that took place on July 9th, 2011. Yes, just a few days off from it being an exact year -- see the precision of the planets, it has to mean something, right? Anyway, this post explains info about the transit and what it can mean for each sign: http://fortunekiki.blogspot.com/2011/07/uranus-goes-retrograde-in-aries.html

...and not to be a total lazy shit, but here's another way to cue in ideas for this Rx. Take it away Ja'ime King:

Neptune goes retrograde in Pisces

Here we go again.

Yes, I know I posted them ages ago...for anyone who remembers, but it's that time again and who cares, because I love these girls and can't get enough of them and their cute astro posts. Take it away PurpleMoonFlowers:

...and since this is a retrograde and what is old is new again, here is my post on Neptune in Pisces retrograde from the last time we were stuck here.

Venus goes retrograde in Gemini

Nothing goes as expected...or has a real fucked up way of happening...

Saw Gus Van Sant's Restless on the plane going to Istanbul...saw it again on the way back (the movie choices were just that lame)...liked it better the second time around, just like this retrograde dictates to do...Yes, I'm a victim of my own circumstances (vocation)...Couldn't find a streaming version, so the trailer is all you get.

It's been ages since I vaguely liked a Gus Van Sant movie, so this was exciting in its own way. To Die For and Drugstore Cowboy are my favorites -- I loved Drugstore Cowboy so much I wore my VHS and soundtrack of it down to static. I even wrote to the author of the book the movie was based on, who was in prison at the time...back in the days when I really wanted a pen pal in prison...which I never got, not even the teen boy on death row I fell in love with when I was 13, after reading his story in a Sunday paper magazine (he killed a man trying to protect his sister), in which I also recruited my friend Angela into love with, but between the two of us, we couldn't save him...Ah, unrequited adolescence loves... Anyway, for your entertainment...

Mars retrograde in Virgo

Get those second opinions!

Time to rework the details to gain perfection in your plans. Yes, Mars, the planet of ambition and passion is heading into reverse and it's going to cause a lot of second guessing, but not without reason, as this is the time to know all your options and not be shy to be too prudent with the direction you want to head. After all, you'll never know, unless you look again. As for areas per sign you'll want to double check the facts and recalibrate plans from now until April 13....

Aries: health, routines, organization
Taurus: love, creativity, fun
Gemini: home, family, nurturing
Cancer: learning, communications, community
Leo: money, self-worth, security
Virgo: instincts, image, ideas
Libra: dreams, vices, intuition
Scorpio: humanity, hopes, friends
Sagittarius: status, goals, authority
Capricorn: faith, idealism, truth
Aquarius: legacy, reinvention, power
Pisces: partnership, balance, justice

Jupiter goes retrograde in Taurus

Come again?

It's the tail end of summer here in Kiki-ville, so trying to stay on top of everything has been a bit more hectic. Throw in an earthquake, hurricane, a massive stream of deadlines, negotiations, random appointments, only a few more days of perfect beach weather and an inability to be an early bird, and well, you have me aligned to work at retrograde speed -- but this time around, it's Jupiter's bump into reverse...

However, since Jupiter is the planet of luck and expansion, despite it hauling its fat ass backwards, it doesn't mean anything bad or as intense as say, a Mercury retrograde. Jupiter is always benevolent, so this mode merely transforms the energy around into a more internal form, and one that may also bring the past back into relevance, but in a positive way...

So, as it goes, this is the exact list given for Jupiter in Taurus, as in what it would bring in terms of luck for each sign. Keep this in mind until December 25, because until then these will be the same areas in line for a change in trajectory, as in reaching within you for realizations and reactions that will bring the satisfaction...

Aries (March 21-April 19): Money, Possessions, Security
Taurus (April 20- May 20): Overall Luck In All Areas, New Beginnings, Taking Risks
Gemini (May 21- June 20): Psychic Hunches, Dealings With Your Past, Creating Your Legacy
Cancer (June 21-July 22): Associates And Friendships, Your Wildest Dreams, Technology
Leo (July 23- August 22): Career, Fame, Respect
Virgo (August 23- September 22): International Dealings, Higher Education, Spiritual Pursuits
Libra (September 23- October 22: Sex, Power, Money
Scorpio (October 23-November 21): Commitment (love &/or career), Balance, Beauty
Sagittarius (November 22- December 21): Health, Work, Results
Capricorn (December 22-January 19): Love, Creativity, The Spotlight
Aquarius (January 20-February 19): Real Estate, Family, Business
Pisces (February 20-March 20): Travel, Learning, Media

Mercury goes retrograde in Virgo

Stop the presses!!!!!!!!!!!

Expect life to get a bit more twisted over the next  24 days, because yes, that tri-annual event called Mercury retrograde begins today at 11:50pm EST, which many of you know is the time in which communication breakdowns are prevalent, untimely travel snafus pop up, delays in getting a commitment happen and people from the past can suddenly reappear. It's a plethora of aggravating  issues that can be set off, but mainly linked to those following issues...and since this Rx is in detailed-orientated and efficient Virgo, it means you must do your homework in regard to upcoming plans, as in sweating the small stuff and ensuring every minor detail is in place to move ahead... Of course, that ensures nothing either, as obstacles will happen as part of fate, but to do all you can to minimize the agony is possible...So, for those areas to batten down those hatches, the list is as follows:

Aries: health, dealings with co-workers, routines
Taurus: romance, creativity, risks involving your ego
Gemini: family, business, home
Cancer: communications, dealings with siblings, travel
Leo: money, comfort, stability
Virgo: vanity, new projects, general outlook
Libra: the past, reality (versus illusions), subconscious fears
Scorpio: friendships, hopes and wishes, the future
Sagittarius: status, career, traditions
Capricorn: truth, spirituality, global matters
Aquarius: power, sex, finances
Pisces: relationships, contracts, peace of mind

...but do know, despite all the headaches that can appear, good can come out of Rx's too, as in pulling out things from your past and reworking them, as this is the time to examine what you have and work it into perfection, as nothing you wish for has to be a lost cause. So, despite the chaos, understand there is an eye of the storm you can relax in, but only if you choose.

Uranus Retrograde 4.34

...and speaking of Uranus...

Of all asinine things I've been curious about, I've had a long curiosity about getting a colonic. Maybe because I’m a Scorpio, and it rules the excretory organs or maybe because I’m a sun and moon in the 6th house, and have a fascination with health and a commitment to being a germaphobe…. Whatever the case, it just sounds smart…but of course, I’m vain, so I needed a bigger motive to get on it, and that came by way of a convo at a party, when talking to girl that worked at a colonic clinic, that told me people lose weight from it and she even had someone drop close to 20 lbs after their first visit! Holy shit!!!! With that, I was sold!
