Uranus Goes Direct In Aries

Turn your head for a minute and....
She was used up fast.

Strange winds will be blowing again, in new and sporadic patterns that will move you ahead into trying new methodologies towards your identity,  your status, your aggression and what you are willing to put up with for the whole of humanity.
Oh yes, it's all about you and making your own rules, as this is a planet that will be by your side for those powerful experiments and explorations.

Uranus Goes Direct in Aries

Rebel With A Cause

Uranus is back in action in full speed absurd mode, cruising at the altitude of Aries -- which means time to get back to fighting the fights for what you feel would be for the greater good of this world. From honing your ingenious thinking to combat a disease to enforcing tough love on a wayward pup, which ever is your contribution, believe in it as it will save the world and so it shall be, so says Uranus in Aries.

Uranus Goes Retrograde in Aries

You Just Won't Be Yourself These Days...

As the planet of ingenuity stalls in the sign all about you, don't expect anything about yourself to be the same -- which can be a great or grim thing....Hmmm, time to see how much you love or hate yourself.

...and better late, than never...Here is my fave Style By Sign video of the week: ARIES!

Bite My Style
Due to shooting 24 videos in a day, didn't keep up with the pics of all the outfit changes...but as for my main one, it was simple and sweet: pink heart print dress from Modcloth and black suede wedges from Jeffrey Campbell, which I got years ago and were the first I bought from Jeffrey Campbell and sort of fell apart after the first time I wore them. The wedge is rubber, which doesn't make for the nails holding down the suede to work so well. Most of them stayed in, but you know, you'd expect them all to stay in....Yet, I still bought more shoes from them.

Uranus Goes Direct In Aries

Spew out the crazy.

When it comes to planets, Uranus is the weirdo in the bunch. Factually, it is the coldest planet and it spins strangely from the others, as in the top or bottom faces the sun, making their night times last 40 years. Astrologically, it rules inventiveness, revolution and science. Currently, it is in Aries, which adds an extra dose of uncontrollable energy and today, it stopped retrograding and is going direct. So, that means time to let your crazy back out, but not the nutty kind, but the wild kind, in which you touch upon a sense of genius that turns it out for you and the world, as this is the era about embracing the chaos.

Of course, there is always a dark side to all that is good, so be prudent of your consciousness now too...which leads me to why there is a Lisa Ling report on Meth posted for today, it's because I watched it yesterday. I love Lisa Ling. The lady is smart and bad ass. She represents so good. Plus, she is married to a Korean guy and their babies will wind up looking like me! Sooo lucky for her...Anyway, here is a whole 50 minutes of sad crazy to the umpteenth degree: fallen superheroes, if only in their minds...

P.S. It's in English and subtitled in Spanish.

Uranus goes retrograde in Aries

Reworking what's right for you, no matter who you have to plow down.

Due to the summer and my brain being close to kaput,  what is right for me is to link you the post I wrote about the Uranus retrograde in Aries that took place on July 9th, 2011. Yes, just a few days off from it being an exact year -- see the precision of the planets, it has to mean something, right? Anyway, this post explains info about the transit and what it can mean for each sign: http://fortunekiki.blogspot.com/2011/07/uranus-goes-retrograde-in-aries.html

...and not to be a total lazy shit, but here's another way to cue in ideas for this Rx. Take it away Ja'ime King:

Uranus Retrograde 4.34

...and speaking of Uranus...

Of all asinine things I've been curious about, I've had a long curiosity about getting a colonic. Maybe because I’m a Scorpio, and it rules the excretory organs or maybe because I’m a sun and moon in the 6th house, and have a fascination with health and a commitment to being a germaphobe…. Whatever the case, it just sounds smart…but of course, I’m vain, so I needed a bigger motive to get on it, and that came by way of a convo at a party, when talking to girl that worked at a colonic clinic, that told me people lose weight from it and she even had someone drop close to 20 lbs after their first visit! Holy shit!!!! With that, I was sold!

Uranus goes retrograde in Aries

Rethink your evolution.

Uranus, the planet of enlightenment, popped into Aries way back on March 11, 2011, a move that it only makes about every 7 years--and to a place it was last seen approximately 84 years ago!!!!

Yes, when this planet goes into motion, time to listen up and reevaluate your priorities--meaning, time to get back in the saddle of your life and sort out what you are doing to make it all about you in the most honest way--as Aries will also dictate you to do!

....So, as this Rx continues until December 9, 2011, time to consider all the new lessons that have happened since March 11 and where to go with it all, as in rethinking your evolution and your place in the world....

Aries (March 21-April 19): Who you are? Who you want to be?
Taurus (April 20- May 20): What do you want your life to mean? What does it mean?
Gemini (May 21- June 20): What your hopes and dreams, and how far are you from therm?
Cancer (June 21-July 22): How high do you want to rise socially, and where have you come from?
Leo (July 23- August 22): What is your truth? Are you living it now?
Virgo (August 23- September 22): What gives you your power? Are you fully embracing it?
Libra (September 23- October 22):  Who do you want on your team? Do they know what you ask of them?
Scorpio (October 23-November 21): What is your natural rhythm? Are you listening to it?
Sagittarius (November 22- December 21): Are you properly expressing yourself? Are you really listening to yourself?
Capricorn (December 22-January 19): What is yours and what is conditioning? How authentic are you being?
Aquarius (January 20-February 19): Are you still curious, and how are you still challenging yourself?
Pisces (February 20-March 20): What are your values, and are you living up to them?

Uranus goes direct in Pisces

Come up with new ways of to give a shit.

This weekend I had my first shift as a volunteer for this amazing organization, called Right Rides. They are free service for women, LGBTQ and gender queer individuals, offering safe, late night rides home on Friday and Saturday nights from 11:59 PM - 3 AM, (early Saturday or Sunday morning) in up to 45 NYC neighborhoods across four NYC boroughs. Vehicles are sponsored by zip-car and to get a ride, all you have to do is call (888) 215-SAFE (7233) and voila!

Although I had signed up to be a driver, I didn't get my paperwork in on time, so instead I was the navigator...The deal for volunteers is you're paired up, driver and navigator, and then throughout the night you get texts from a dispatcher and then drive about to pick up people and drop them off. I've always had this fantasy of being a cab driver, romanticizing the strange encounters that can occur, as in people and places, so I thought this is a way to accomplish my Jim Jarmusch dream, while being of some use...The thing that wierded me out is that this service is soo amazing, I am surprised their phones weren't ringing off the hook!!!

Seriously, we got two calls in two hours!!! That was only three drop-offs, which meant a lot of wasted time and fuel just driving around. No matter, it was interesting nonetheless...So yeah, if you live in NYC, save this # (888) 215-SAFE (7233) if you fall into any of the categories aforementioned, because this is a service for you! Save it, use it and pass it around! Maybe one night if we're lucky, you'll have me as your driver and I'll tell you your fortune! ...something is going to happen...

[If you aren't in NYC, don't fret. Right Rides may be coming to your city too. Contact Right Rides to find out how you can help make it happen faster.]

Uranus re-enters Pisces, my solar 5th

Weird lessons regarding love...

Today, I decided I was going to start my traveling adventure early and take the train to the airport. Little did I forget that the reason I never do this is because I hate hauling my luggage up and down stairs, but lucky little me, this city is filled with lots of virile men that will do my dirty work.

As I was standing in front of the turnstile, contemplating why my ass wasn't in a cab, in comes kind-of-sexy-guy-#1 to carry up my suitcase and swoop them down two flights of stairs. Although he didn't speak any English (he was Spanish), he could muster enough English to tell me I was beautiful and really, what more did he need to say?

...However, after a transfer and a few more flights of stairs, he was starting to say he loved me, so I scooted over a little farther, and no worries, as there was yet another guy willing to jump in to save me. He had a hot body on him too, and was all about helping me sort out the various train lines and which specifically was going my way. (Fun factoid: The A train in NYC goes to the Airtran that takes you to the airport, but there are 3 different destinations on the A and only 2 of them will connect you to the right place.)

...Anyway, when Mr. Man #2 got to be too much, I turned around and there was yet another gentleman wanting to chat me up and find out all about my travels...So, lesson to be learned today ladies, if you want your ass to get picked up fast or just need a few good strokes to the ego, head to a subway, train or bus with a suitcase, because dudes love being helpful and nothing like hauling extra baggage, literally, to get the masochism out and swirling about you.

P.S. Two months ago, for a weekend trip I also had to haul my suitcase into the subway and once again, met a sexy Russian guy. He carried my suitcase over several flights of stairs and he even rolled it up a long mini hill underground. I'm telling you, suitcase and estrogen, a deadly combo for man...It's like shooting fish in a barrel!!!

Uranus goes retrograde in Aries

Everything is transient, so don't bother stressing...

Yeaaaah, finally got some major hardcore sleep. Like woke up at 2:31 PM! and it was AMAZING. It's been ages since I got to sleep in like that and I so loved it. I even did a double take at the time, feeling impressed with myself....things haven't been the same since I moved. I haven't fully adjusted to the sun and how it comes into my room every morning like a cruel headmaster. It's not cool. I hate it. I live for sleeping until my body is fully exhausted of sleep...but lately, due to the lack of the good stuff, I always feel like I have that quarter tank more in me and it weighs me down....It's painful how my wake up routine now is glare, then rolling like a greedy troll to the darker side of the bed, to have to then zip back to the other side as the sun passes. I'm like a typewriter. My friend Judy, always amazing, was a sweetie and surprised me with two awesome silk eye masks, as she said, "It's just unnatural that you wake up that early." ...and it's true, I hate getting up early MORE THAN ANYTHING. I like late night way more than early morning. My associations of early morning are mostly unpleasant: school, being wired, jury duty...scratch that, I dug jury duty...at least last time I did it. I got picked to be on a jury and it was ideal. It was certain it'd only last two days max and it was a cut and dry DUI at a check point trial. The defendant was cute too, so it felt super sexy being part of the justice system that turn around....anyway, without my daily sleep exhaustion technique of maintaining, it's a bit bizarre feeling these days...hmmmm, what was my point anyway?

Uranus enters Aries

When making sense turns subjective.

Ever since Uranus went into Aries I can't stop thinking about fried chicken. In particular, this sandwich:

Last Sunday I wandered into the cutest restaurant that resembled a barn, (Cheeky Sandwiches), looking for an ice coffee. Little did I know it would house one of the greatest culinary creations I'd seen in ages — the fried chicken sandwich on a homemade buttermilk biscuit with gravy and slaw. If I didn't already just scarf down a kimchi dog, it would have been down my throat already...So I swore I'd be back.

...After a few days of hitting the gym extra hard, and obsessing on this sandwich as if it were Christmas, I gave myself the green light to go get it and OMG, did it live up to the anticipation: juicy, tasty, crispy, milky and oh so comforting — YUM! ...words can not describe...and if only the story ended there...but it was the awakening of my secret obsession for fried chicken that grew day after day. The next day, while riding my bike past Kyochon Chicken, the latest fried chicken chain to hit Koreatown, NYC, forces beyond me pulled me in and momentarily, there I was with my Original Sal Sal Chicken Strips.

While I loved it, it wasn't as succulent as I'd wish, but fulfilling none the less and I ate ever crumb of the 6 piece box as if I were on death row and even contemplated getting a few more after. Yes, delicious! ...But instead of hopping back in line, I then got lost in memories of the most delicious pieces of fried chicken I've had through the years like some whacked out lovelorn ex. Obviously, KFC and Chick-fil-A have its own untouchable panache, but other NYC choices that I feel carry the torch in which I can't resist are:

  • F&B, which has the best chicken frites ever, but are no more, at least on 23rd in NYC.
  • Oh My Chicken in Flushing, Queens that hopefully have fixed their menu to not read, "One taste you forget after one bite."
  • Erb Thai in Greenpoint that has delicious popcorn chicken with tangy dipping sauce that melts all cares away...like how I think I'm a vegetarian.

Anyway, with this transit lasting for the next 7 years, I can only hope I can control myself...Until then, expect more fried chicken updates to come...

Uranus goes direct

Humanity does exist.

When I lose something in public, living in NYC, I don't expect to ever see it again. Yesterday, I lost my favorite winter hat and today, I got it back!!! Seems someone did turn it into the lost and found at one of the places I was at, Paragon, and they kept it for me. The best part of this story, I asked my tarot cards as soon as I got home if I’d get my hat back, totally expecting the worst cards ever, but they said, "Yes."

…and recently, a friend of mine lost her new laptop in the back of a cab. She tweeted her despair, so I asked my tarot cards about it and they totally said she would get it back and her faith in humanity would be restored — and she did and it did!

Highlight of this story: My cards totally work and people are awesome!!!
