My latest notebook: Moments Precieux!

Moments Precieux was a suprise from the last two days. I had the blank notebook lying about for weeks, meaning to paint it...but then time kept slipping by and I had the cute fabric covered book from AMS that I added stuff, to personalize...but it's not the same. I need my archives to be arranged properly...But I was lacking ideas, until Venus went to Capricorn and I just wanted to do it. I figured I could play around with my stuff, until something hits. With collage, it's  sorting out a puzzle and scavenging for the pieces.

Usually, I will have one hint, like the title, a concept or actual visuals--or a combo of the three. I love when it comes together and how amazing that feels to put finishing touches...

This time around, I was not working ahead of myself in any way. No ideas, but I liked the brown paper the best, so started by covering the entire notebook in it....Then, pulled out the supplies, started playing around and voila--as soon as the fence was laid, they were obviously tracks to me and obviously she would be at one end and the train at the other. Of course, despite the grim predicaments, there are still more than enough seconds for the track to get switched or she gets pulled off or she rolls off herself. She may not be tied to the tracks. She could of put on the blindfold herself. If anything, I see Moments Precieux as a study in hope.

Mercury is back into forward motion as of 4:03 pm EST today, which means forward-ho. So, with Pisces, the ruler of the feet, it makes it an International Shoe Buying Week! To get your body and mind revved for the road ahead, think shoes!

(It's so weird, I am not really a shoe addict per se, but one time of year I go nuts and buy all the shoes I usually get for a year, and it always winds up being Pisces time...So far over the weekend I bought two pairs of boots. A brown suede pair and a silver glitter pair. The week before, I got cute green platforms and started the season with new riding boots. Today, I can't stop looking at slingbacks for summer...The sales are so good out there!!!!)

....and I'm a gal that does like to hunt for a good deal, in person and on the internet. I just love to shop...One of the best is 6pm. They seem to always have the lowest prices, no shipping and most of the shoes have a video of someone wearing them, so you can see them in action, which is as close as doing it yourself. If anything, it's more info that helps with the hunt.

Ahhhh, not a minute to rest with Mother Nature going at it. Now, a hurricane alert! Hurricane Irene, a category 2 (then downgraded to 1) is heading right for NYC this Saturday!!! The first total MTA shut down of the world's largest public transit system in history!!!!! And the first ever mandatory evacuation in coastal and low-lying areas of NYC!!!!!

Of course, being that it is New York Fucking City, seems the fear is far outweighed by the annoyance factor over inconvenience. For example, at 6:30 pm today, riding my bike across 14th St. there were no out of the ordinary lines at the groceries, but the line into a liquor store was around the corner.

My new shoes arrived just in time to walk ahead, right out of mercury retrograde in my 12th...and it's kind of funny too, since the 12th house rules the feet. New shoes are just what the universe is saying I have to have...and here they are!

They are as cute as pie, completely eco-friendly, made out of recycled/recyclable plastics and breathable, from this Brazilian company called Melissa, which ranked as one of the greenest companies in the world....and what is even cooler, I just recently found out, is that they are also bubble gum scented!!!! Of all ridiculously adorable things, I'm in love!!!

Happy Mercury Goes Direct Day and enough of the menacing drama it brought with its trials and tribulations of communication sabotage! (...and btw, if you are a Gemini or Gemini rising, this too means you should go out and buy yourself a new pair of shoes — a cosmic mandate!)
